0.1.10

Open beta · 14 September 2026

In one line

The face proxy gained a plane, and texture and layer editing moved into cards.

Check before updating
  • Backup: back up the whole project before installing. Installing into a new project is fine too.
  • Re-bake: restore materials you already baked to editable, then bake them again.
  • Re-upload: VRChat avatars need uploading again to receive this.
  • Look changes: outline brightness and color, the face proxy, emission blending.
  • Every texture in the project may be reimported once on the first update.

New features

  • Plane — added to the face proxy shapes. It flattens face shading to a front-facing basis.
  • Overall Saturation · Overall Emission Intensity — adjust the whole character at once from Master Adjust.
  • Rim Shade Color — sets the rim shade's color separately. At a blend of 0 it uses the existing shadow color.
  • Follow Base Map · Follow Alpha — the outline follows the surface's color and its transparency separately.
  • Bulk Import Settings — pick a maximum resolution and compression quality per texture type and apply them.
  • Mask Details — adjust contrast, blur and input levels, plus hue, saturation, brightness and gamma.
  • Mask Channel — choose R / G / B / A / Luminance with buttons. Matcap masks also have RGB.
  • Add, move and delete buttons were added to the texture, normal and matcap layers.
  • A layer can be turned off instead of deleted. Turn it back on and it uses the settings it had stored.
  • The texture list sorts by section, size, resolution and name.
  • Choose the bake method between FastUpload and Legacy GPU Precision Optimization.
  • Inspector cards, spacing and section headers were tidied so they read at narrow widths.

Changed defaults and look changes

  • Receiver Depth Pushback moved from the Depth Shadow (formerly 2D Shadow) tab to face shading.
  • With Depth Shadow on and the pushback above 0, that material does not receive projected shadows.
  • Set the pushback back to 0, or turn Depth Shadow off, and projected shadows apply again.
  • Complex lighting calculations were taken out of the outline. Check line brightness and color on existing materials.
  • The existing sphere, cylinder and capsule proxies are now marked as experimental shapes. The plane is recommended.
  • Emission blending now follows lilToon. Existing Hue, Color and Overlay values are handled as Add.
  • The six factory presets were updated. Reapplying them overwrites the values. Basic Toon High/Low · Hard Toon High/Low · Soft Toon High/Low.

Fixed

  • Fixed: the color preset also overwrote the shadow color map's UV settings.
  • Fixed: the matcap mask dropped out as the camera moved away, throwing off the texture bindings.
  • Fixed: labels on the row below the mask box were clipped to two or three characters.
  • Fixed: the move-up button stayed in the previous language after the inspector language was changed.

Known limitations

  • Depth effects depend on the depth information the world, the camera and mirrors provide.
  • This release is the BRP core. The URP add-on and Ming Light Controller are not included.
  • The first bake and the first compile take longer because the cache is empty.
